Description

The adidas Sambae Shoes showcase the merging of the two brands, bringing together one of London's famous prints on one of adidas Originals' iconic silhouettes.

Explore the new drop from adidas x Liberty London, where a world of football and florals collide. This launch features Delft Blooms, a modern interpretation of classic delftware pottery, hand-painted in gouache by the Liberty design studio and reimagined in a contemporary colourway for the collection. Translated into elegant lace and vibrant woven jacquard, its organic floral forms bring a dynamic new energy to the range.

The adidas Sambae Shoes are a contemporary take on the classic Samba, reimagined with a platform gum-rubber outsole to take your style to new heights. The comfortable textile upper is adorned with cherry blossom flowers and swirling leaves. A signature suede T-toe, heel tab and classic 3-Stripes keep the look rooted in adidas heritage.

From Adidas' Sustainability - Materials:

Leather: "99% is Leather Working Group certified with most sourced from Gold-rated tanneries"

Rubber: "We’re improving the sustainability of our natural rubber sourcing by increasing the use of certified rubber, recycled content, and are also scouting innovative alternatives. To enhance transparency into our natural rubber supply chain, we have launched a supply chain mapping initiative. With this, we gain more knowledge about the origin of the rubber and get to know key actors further upstream. In the coming years, we’ll use these insights to strengthen our end-to-end understanding of our supply chain and implement respective measures to lower our impact further".

Cotton: "Since 2018, we’ve used only third-party certified cotton from standards such as Better Cotton and U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol, as well as organic cotton and recycled cotton. To reduce the environmental impact of cotton, we’re focusing as a first step on gaining transparency into the origin of the cotton, and ultimately aiming for full traceability"

Liberty have a range of early-stage initiatives to reduce their impact:

"We’re making sustainability part of our tradition. Liberty has been going for nearly 150 years and we want to make sure it remains sustainable for the future. That’s why we’re taking action to transform our products, processes and packaging. We’re using our culture of innovation to pioneer ways to shrink any negative environmental impact – from resource-saving printing processes, to introducing packaging and fabrics that are kinder to the environment. To support wider action to make the apparel sector more sustainable, we’re also backing industry-wide sustainability initiatives from farm to finished product. These include the Better Cotton Initiative, Global Organic Textile Standard, Global Recycled Standard and FSC® certification."
