House of Hackney Saber Rug in Sage
Description
More than just king of the jungle, SABER is king of the home. A much-loved motif that originally clawed inspiration from traditional Tibetan tiger rugs, their House icon has now been reinterpreted as a magnificent floor covering - one that celebrates nature at its most powerful. In a foliage-inspired shade of 'Sage' green with tactile fringing, this design is woven from superbly soft British wool by the master craftspeople at Axminster Carpets in Devon. Wherever you let him prowl, you can guarantee he'll rule the room.
With each piece inspired by traditional Tibetan tiger motifs sold, House of Hackney makes a donation to Panthera, the charity devoted to protecting the world's wild cats.
In addition, each item sold enables House of Hackney to purchase and protect 35 square metres of forest, thanks to our partnership with the World Land Trust the international conservation charity that safeguards our most vital natural ecosystems and threatened habitats, acre by acre.
House of Hackney are BCorp Certified. They are evolving from a B Corp sustainable brand to a regenerative one. This means doing things differently to bring about social and economic change, promoting the restoration and regeneration of natural resources and social systems. It means going beyond simply ‘sustaining’ and instead, actively making things better. From how our raw materials are farmed and the farmers who grow them to the craft people who make the finished product, our team who sell them and everyone and everything in between, it means ensuring people and planet are considered at every touch point.
The wool used in the rug comes via the Woolkeepers Community who offer wool traceability which creates a level of assurance that supports a united supply chain, from farm through to factory door.
