Top 10 Sustainable Eco Conscious Must Have Bathroom Items
We all have to do our bit when it comes to being more eco-conscious in the bathroom. We need to minimise our human footprint.
We must also be mindful that the items you chose should fit comfortably in the design and decor of your home.
Using eco-friendly cleaning liquids and sponges, recycled or bamboo loo rolls are a few things we can switch out immediately without losing any design aesthetics.
We have compiled a Top 10 Must-have Sustainable / eco-conscious bathroom items which are really handy and a step in the right direction as we battle to fight the climate and biodiversity crisis whilst keeping a fresh, clean and contemporary look.
1.Cheeky Panda Bathroom Toilet Tissue
Why would anyone use an unsustainable loo paper - it makes no sense at all. The ingredients are plant based, cruelty-free, vegan and biodegradable and it's made in a certified waste-free factory. It smells good and does what it says it does - it removes limescale! 5. Seep Pop-Up Eco Cleaning sponges
These sponges from BCorp certified Seep are plastic-free and made in the UK from 100% cellulose. They're also compostable after use and biodegradable. They start out thin and flat and when they are run under the water tap, they pop up, hence the name! (This pack of 2 is around £5)
6. Vigar Cactus Toilet Brush Set
Let's face it, toilet brushes are grim. So why not get one that has been eco-consciously made and that has personality! This cactus one is made from bio-based bio-plastics derived from rice hulls and it's 100% recyclable. A bit of design humour and functionality! (Around £35)

We like a white hand towel in the bathroom- it makes dirt easy to spot- you want hygenic bathrooms! This Danish deigned Ohmu hand towel is made from 100% Organic Cotton and it's Oeko-tex, GOTS certified Organic, Fairtrade and SA8000 and Nordic Swan Eco certified. (It's 50x100cm and around £22)
8. Neal's Yard Remedies Geranium & Orange Hand Wash
Why not treat your hands to some luxurious cleaning and pampering. This Neal's Yard hand wash scent is amazing - it comes in a recyclable glass bottle and is made with certified organic ingredients. It's Vegetarian Society Vegan approved and it's cruelty-free. The hand wash contains Organic geranium and orange essential oils. (This 200ml pump bottle is around £12)
9. Cheeky Panda Bamboo Facial Tissues Cube Box
Why use an unsustainable facial tissue paper - it makes no sense. Go for a recycled paper or one made from a sustainable source which feels equally as nice on your face such as this one from BCorp certified company The Cheeky Panda - (They're soft and strong and around £1.40 for 56 tissues).
10. Relaxdays Bamboo Square Facial Tissue Box Dispenser
So you may be thinking well that Tissue box doesn't look great in my bathroom, so why not put it into a dispenser? Obviously design is a. matter of taste but we think this sustainable bamboo dispenser is neutral enough to compliment most bathrooms. (It's 15.5 x 14.5 x 14.5 cm so will take the Cheeky Panda tissue box above and it's around £16)
