Locally-sourced clear jars and bottles are sorted, crushed and heated in the furnace until molten. The gather of glass is placed in a pre-mould to imprint the texture. It is then placed in a wooden mould in the shape of each seed vase and blown to size. The rim is melted with the texture, creating a wavy finish, before being annealed. The use of handmade techniques creates subtle variations between vases and ensures each has its own character.
