In Sanskrit Nila means ‘blue’, and ‘temple’; in Pali it means ‘nest’, and in Tamil it means ‘moon’.

One word, many meanings; all capturing the spirit of Nila House; a cultural centre of excellence, set in the heart of Jaipur, dedicated to honouring and preserving the natural dye and handloom traditions of India.

Nila is founded upon a desire to:
